NEW: CASA in Action Endorses Juan Arango Millan for Brentwood Town Council

Building a Better Brentwood for All

Brentwood is more than just a town — it’s a community of families, workers, artists, immigrants, and everyday people who care deeply about where we live. But for too long, our voices have been ignored, and our needs overlooked. I’m running for Town Council to change that — to make sure our local government works for the people who live here, not just a few.

This campaign isn’t about politics. It’s about people.

HOUSING is a matter of dignity.

Rent is going up, housing is aging, and too many landlords are getting away with neglect. In Brentwood, we have families paying too much for too little — and not enough protections in place when things go wrong.

As your Councilmember, I’ll fight for:

  • Stricter enforcement on bad landlords and unsafe living conditions

  • Clear and fair rental inspections and accountability standards

  • Accessible legal and housing support for tenants

  • Thoughtful, community-led development that keeps homes affordable

Housing isn’t a luxury. It’s a right. And I’ll make sure Brentwood stands on the side of its people.

FIGHTING POVERTY & FOOD INSECURITY is our shared responsibility.

Too many families in Brentwood are stretched thin. Groceries cost more. Rents keep climbing. And help is often too hard to find — or never comes. Our town needs to take real steps to ensure no one falls through the cracks.

I’ll work to:

  • Strengthen partnerships with local food banks and community kitchens

  • Support community gardens and resident-led food initiatives

  • Expand town programs that help our neighbors make ends meet

We take care of each other here. Let’s make sure our government does the same.

OUR BUDGET should reflect our values.

Every tax dollar should work for the people. Brentwood has limited resources — but that’s all the more reason to be bold, strategic, and transparent about how we spend them.

I’ll fight for:

  • Budgets that prioritize public services — not just paving and politics

  • Participatory budgeting so residents help decide where money goes

  • More grant funding and partnerships to expand our town’s impact

  • Financial transparency and better communication with residents

Let’s treat housing, youth, seniors, food security, and climate action as essential services — because they are.

REAL PUBLIC SAFETY puts people first.

Flooding, heatwaves, and air quality concerns aren’t abstract issues in Brentwood — they affect our everyday lives. We must lead on local climate action, not wait until it’s too late.

I support:

  • Expanding rain gardens and sustainable drainage projects

  • Planting more trees and protecting our existing green spaces

  • Greening public buildings and adopting smart energy solutions

  • Making sure climate solutions benefit renters and low-income families too

A greener Brentwood is a safer, healthier, and more resilient Brentwood.

CLIMATE ACTION starts on our block.

True public safety comes from care, not just control. It means safe streets, strong neighborhoods, and a local government that looks out for all of us — especially the vulnerable.

As your Councilmember, I’ll work to:

  • Add more lighting, crosswalks, and sidewalk improvements

  • Advocate for caseworkers to support residents

  • Create senior programs, youth programs, and safe spaces for teens

  • Ensure our immigrant communities feel welcome and protected, not policed

Safety is about belonging. I’ll make sure Brentwood is a town where everyone feels seen, supported, and safe.
